New endowed student awards eligible for time-limited top-up!

Due to the rising cost of living, UFV is setting a new minimum for endowed student awards in order to generate an annual award of $1,000.

Effective April 1, 2022, the minimum to establish an endowed fund is increasing from $18,750 to $25,000, payable over three years.

While funds allow, UFV will top up all new endowments to $25,000 with a minimum contribution of $18,750 until March 31. In other words, we will contribute an additional $6,250 to your endowed fund! This is the perfect time to establish an endowed scholarship, bursary, or leadership award and support the future difference-makers in our community.

By establishing an endowed award at UFV, you can provide support to deserving students, in perpetuity. Choose the type of award, area of study, minimum GPA — it’s up to you! We can recommend where student awards are needed most. And you may name your student award in honour or in memory of a loved one, or to celebrate your time at UFV.

How does it work? When you establish an endowment fund, UFV invests your donation and distributes the earned income in the form of a student award, based on a 4% rate of return.

Please note: This offer cannot be combined with our current match on all donations until December 31.
