New member joins your UFV advancement team
Esmeralda (Ezzy) Bruce joined the Advancement Team within the University Relations Department on April 11, 2016. Her role as Advancement Services Officer is focused on providing leadership and support to the larger advancement and alumni teams, specifically in the areas of data management, analysis, gift processing, prospect analysis and reporting. This role is critical for any successful advancement team to move forward.
Ezzy is a distinguished development professional and leader in the not-for-profit sector. She recently moved to British Columbia from Washington State and brings with her 14 years of non-profit fundraising experience and strong knowledge of the development process and associated best practices. Ezzy has fundraised for and led operational efforts in social services, higher education scholarship programs, the health sector, and social justice arenas. She enjoys helping all stakeholders to be successful in their efforts and a vision to make a difference; from colleagues, to board members, community members, volunteers, and representatives of the education and business sectors.
Ezzy earned her undergraduate degree in Communication from Western Washington University. She also holds a Master of Non-Profit Leadership degree from Seattle University. One of the first programs of its kind in the United States the degree program is designed to help of inspire and effect the kind of change that results in lasting impact on organizations and communities.
In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, cooking, antiquing, golf, spin classes, hiking, and exploring the beautiful outdoors.
