April 4 is UFV Giving Day — mark your calendars!
On April 4, 1974, the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) opened its doors and welcomed our first students as Fraser Valley College, thanks to the drive, passion, and commitment of our community. Forty-nine years later, we are still making a difference in the lives of students in the Fraser Valley and beyond, while our alumni are working to make our community a better place for everyone.
UFV Giving Day – a 24-hour event – marks UFV’s April 4 anniversary by bringing us together to raise $23,000, making post-secondary education more affordable and accessible for UFV students. Are you ready for the challenge? You can make a difference with a gift to:
- Student Awards
- Help a student overcome financial barriers to a UFV education by supporting scholarships, bursaries, and leadership awards.
- Student Emergency Funds
- Give aid to a student facing a crisis – here at home or in a conflict zone around the world.
- UFV-SUS Student Food Bank
- Lend assistance to a student who has been hit hard by rising prices and food insecurity.
Every dollar our community contributes will make a difference — no gift is too small.
Learn more about the impact you can make for students at ufvgivingday.ca or join us on campus to celebrate students and the generosity of our donors. We look forward to making a difference together on April 4.
