UFV Giving Day was a resounding success.

Held Tuesday, April 4, UFV Giving Day welcomed $69,150 in generous gifts, celebrating the power of collective giving, and enriching the lives of students in the Fraser Valley and beyond.

Donors were able to support one or more of their preferred causes: Student Awards; Student Emergency Funds; or the UFV-SUS Food Bank. Individual donations were received from community organizations, UFV alumni, staff, faculty, and friends – with additional funding provided by matching donors.

Students were also involved – grabbing “donation dollars” in Abbotsford’s walk-in money booth and spinning to win at the Trades and Technology Centre in Chilliwack. At both stations, students could support their preferred cause by allocating money donated by the UFV Student Union Society and matched by an anonymous donor.
